Hotel Lipari Historic Centre

You can reach the town’s historic centre on foot along the SP 180 and then the Corso Vittorio Emanuele. From here, you will find yourselves enveloped by the local history and culture as you lose yourselves amidst the intricate alley ways which are the guardians of ancient treasures.
Amongst the main places of interest are, undoubtedly, the city’s main church which is dedicated to St. Bartholomew. Lipari’s cathedral was erected at the time of the Normans and houses frescoes and a painting from the 18th century by Polidoro da Caravaggio.
Also here is the Norman cloister which is ready to captivate visitors with its carvings and its decorations representing mythological creatures and beasts.
Within a few minutes of leaving the Hotel Villa Enrica, you will be able to reach the centre of the town which is full of picturesque streets and different places to visit.
The Castle, which has medieval origins, is situated on a hill overlooking the sea. Inside the castle, you can visit the Luigi Bernabò Brea Aeolian Regional Archaeological Museum which will enable you to find out more about the whole history of the archipelago and the Aeolian Islands.
